- Pitt County (June 22)
- Haywood County (June 24)
These hands-on workshops are designed to equip K-8 teachers, school staff and Extension volunteers with teaching tools for the school garden. The morning will focus on Gateways to the School Garden, including microgreens, bucket gardens, aeroponics and mini-raised beds. The afternoon will offer ways to tackle Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) in the garden. The cost is $10. CEUs are available. Registration is limited to 25 at each site; however, we’ll keep a waitlist and if there is sufficient demand, we will schedule additional dates. We will be following all Covid precautions mandated by the state and NC State Extension at the time of each workshop; much of the day will be spent outside.
