Register for the School Garden Summer Institute

Join us for Summer School! In our two years of working with school gardens, we’ve realized that aside from having a school garden space, the biggest factor holding teachers back is lack of confidence in their own ability to grow a garden. The School Garden Summer Institute will be an intensive 2-day professional development on August 15-16 from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm. Day 1 at the NC Research Campus in Kannapolis will focus on equipping teachers with garden knowledge and a skill set for success. Day 2 will inspire teachers with a field trip to Barbee Farms in Concord and hands-on trainings and demonstrations in a school garden. Teachers will not only grow their knowledge but will have an opportunity for some great networking. We have teachers from across the state already registered as well as a wonderful keynote speaker. We are looking forward to learning from each other’s experiences. And not to be overlooked, we have some awesome door prizes we can’t wait to put in your hands. This is a free event, but we do have limited space so register today (or by June 30)
